Does a non-profit have to file a tax return?
Often, yes. An incorporated non-profit organization generally files a T2 return. It may also have to file the T1044 information return, in particular if its investment income or assets exceed certain thresholds, and Québec organizations file form TP-997.1. Registered charities file the T3010 instead. We check with you which returns apply to your organization.
